INTRODUCTION

The common definition of “consortium” is consortium (plural: consortia) an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations, or governments (or any combination of these entities) to participate in a common activity and or pool their resources for achieving a common goal. Consortium is a Latin word meaning "partnership", "association" or "society", and derives from consors ("shared in property"), itself from con- ("together") and sors ("fate"). For Our Purposes:

The Wildwood Consortium is an association for three basic Goals, which are strictly up to the individual or a group’s desired level of involvement:

I.      The first goal assumes the role and purpose of the former “Outer Circle” of the Clan of the Elderwood Grove, which is intended for those who are curious about the Clan and may wish to undergo the process to join. Individuals can request to join, but there is an application and screening process; therefore, it is not automatic. Those who belong to the Clan of the Elderwood Grove are dedicated and proactively work towards our beliefs and practices, which is why we often invite individuals who share our values to join us.

II.   Secondly, the initial place and purpose for those who want to remain casually affiliated with us for any of the myriad reasons someone might want to hang around us as like-minded kindred spirits.

III. The third goal comprises of the true sense of the word consortium in which groups such as other groves, covens, clans, or groups; individuals; and households; that are comprised of pagan, mystics, and the interested and/or pagan-friendly survivalists, pagan and pagan friendly groups, and/or organizations (or any combination of these entities) to participate in common activities and pool resources to achieve common goals known to what we will call as Action Steps.

 Our Focus is to build and maintain a network:

A.    To provide a greater sense of community that contributes constructive knowledge, wisdom, and experiences, as well as an interpersonal and nurturing supportive group that is indigenous to humanitarian mindsets.

B.    To recreate the druidic colleges that were eradicated during Boudica's time, a Roman historian documented. This is one of the aspects that has been emphasized by The Powers That Be as one of the objectives for the Clan of the Elderwood Grove.

C.    To combine great magick energy for our endeavors with those individuals that can raise high magick and/or healing energies when called upon to do so; thus, working high magick for things that we deem necessary for society and the planet, as well as being there for each other in times of need.

D.    To aid in assisting and collaborative efforts towards spiritual and or mundane needs or desires.

E.    To the creation and the networking of charterships and non-charterships alike. If a group or individual would like to formally apply for a Charter for the Wildwood Consortium through the Clan of the Elderwood Grove, an investigation would need to be arranged, and documents would need to be created, implemented, and managed. The purpose of a chartership is the surety of support by those that offer sanctuary with the contingence of practices outlined in the organizational and community belief practices of the Clan of the Elderwood Grove; thus providing continuity across board regardless of Pagan pantheon beliefs or system that instill the very concepts of the ancient Irish Brehon Laws in that they are highly humanitarian, egalitarian, systemic or ecologically focused that includes the best organic environmental practices that utilize both Victorian (the practices of only using kinetic and/or steam power- not petroleum powered) and the most advanced environmentally sustainable practices such as wind, solar, wave, and other sustainable methods, and so forth.

F.    To help when social, economic, and/or environmental disasters when individuals need to relocate and reestablish a new life. This goal would include the creation and maintenance of pockets of people that, when all hell breaks loose and civilization as we now know it is lost for whatever reason, to which very little or no communication is available, would welcome lowly kindred travelers that need to find refuge and rebuild their lives after being forced out. The Clan's Dragon Tooth, Parts I, II, and III, would serve as a template to recreate communities, regardless of their intended size.

G.   To create and maintain the network system that will create protocols for communication between groves and other interested parties that will include modes of communication to be able to locate and assess, even when utility grids go down, and everyone knows individuals and other group locations to navigate towards meeting up, and the sharing of resources.

H.   To create and maintain a shared website for all types of individual members and groups that are chartered and non-chartered through the Wildwood Consortium. Annual dues will be established for the website, as well as a balanced, shared, and monitored financial institution or format for raising and sharing the financial activities and concerns towards these endeavors. For instance, members of the Wildwood Consortium create and sell items or offer services. Each group or individual member will have their section on the website for a monthly fee of $20.00 USA.
